About Cottage Gourmets
Apples From Our Orchards Barb, Sue, and David Macgregor grew up on Lake Sylvia surrounded by their grandfather’s orchard and gardens. Every fall with baskets and baskets of apples at their feet, their mother would assemble them around the kitchen table to make enough apple pies to fill the freezer for every Sunday dinner throughout the year. Because of the influence of their mother and the beauty of the land that they lived on, the 3 of them grew up to become gardeners, artists and cooks.

You could say that Cottage Gourmets is one part artistic sophistication, one part meticulous craftsmanship, and one part simple, homemade goodness. The inspiration is rural Minnesota itself in all its beauty and character. Our dishes are made with fresh ingredients we combine in new and differert ways- like smoked chicken thighs with a red wine reduction sause, lime cilantro cole slaw,
and a pear-mint trifle.
Because the food that is served and the events that are designed come from their passions and their heritage, there is a determination to create unforgettable experiences for guests and clients. They work individually and personally to help clients develop dining experiences of a lifetime.
